Palit teases hybrid-cooled RTX 40 GameRock GPU
Palit plans to reveal a hybrid-cooled RTX 40 series GPU at Computex
Palit has confirmed that they will be showcasing a new graphics card at Computex 2024. This GPU promises users a “cooling revolution”, with Palit teasing a hybrid-cooled GameRock series RTX 40 graphics card.
Hybrid cooled? What’s that? What Palit are teasing is an air-cooled graphics card that can have its thermal performance enhanced if it is connected to a water cooling loop. This GPU should be usable both with and without a connected liquid cooling setup. The GPU appears to feature a triple-fan heatsink that is around 3.5 PCIe slots wide.
Since this graphics card is hot enough to benefit greatly from liquid cooling, it’s likely that this GPU is an RTX 4080 SUPER or RTX 4090 graphics card. We don’t expect Nvidia to reveal their RTX 50 series at CES. That means that this graphics card is likely an RTX 40 series GPU model.
