PowerColor launched their Radeon RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate GPU with “specially binned” silicon
Â
In a review from Hot Hardware, PowerColor’s RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate was listed with Silent Mode clock speeds that surpass the rated clock speeds of the company’s Standard RX 6900 XT Red Devil on OC Mode, and even higher clock speeds when their Ultimate variant is set to OC mode.Â
The PowerColor’s RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate’s default BIOS (OC Mode), offering users a Game Clock speed of 2235MHz and a Boost Clock of 2425MHz, making it the fastest Radeon RX 6900 XT model that PowerColor produces. This graphics card also features a higher maximum power limit for overclockers, allowing overclockers to tune the GPU’s performance further.
With AMD releasing higher binned silicon for their Radeon RX 6900 XT, it is likely that Radeon’s other board partners will soon be releasing higher clocked RX 6900 XT models, enabling these heightened performance levels across a broader range of graphics cards.Â
Aesthetically, PowerColor’s RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate looks a lot like its standard Red Devil counterpart, with the primary difference being silicon quality. Â
