PowerColor lists AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT LC graphics card on their website
AMD has a long history of releasing liquid cooled graphics cards, such as their RX Fury X, RX Vega 64 LC, and RX 295×2. The RX 6900 XT LC appears to be AMD’s continuation of this high-end liquid cooling trend, offering gamers higher core clock speeds and memory speeds than the company’s existing air-cooled RX 6900 XT reference model.Â
According to PowerColor’s listing, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT LC graphics card features a “game clock” of 2250 MHz and 18Gbps GDDR6 memory. These changes indicate that AMD’s RX 6900 XT LC features a game clock speed boost of around 11.7% and a VRAM bandwidth increase of 11.25% when compared to the company’s reference air-cooled RX 6900 XT. Â
Samsung confirmed in 2018 that they planned to produce 18Gbps GDDR6 memory modules, memory chips that are almost fast enough to enter GDDR6X performance levels. Using these modules, AMD can deliver more memory bandwidth on their flagship RDNA 2 silicon, leading to a significant performance boost in some memory-limited workloads.Below are the specifications of AMD’s RX 6900 XT LC, as listed by PowerColor.
