ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP is the world’s first 1440p 480Hz OLED gaming monitor
Insane speeds at high resolutions – ASUS’ ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP is incredible
At Gamescom 2024, ASUS has revealed the world’s first 480Hz QHD (1440p) OLED gaming monitor. This screen is their ROG OLED PG27AQDP, which uses a 26.5-inch WOLED panel with an anti-glare coating. Like most modern OLED screens, this new ROG Swift model features lightning-fast 0.03 ms response times, making this screen ideal for fast-paced gaming workloads.
This new monitor features ASUS’ latest OLED display technologies. This includes the company’s ELMB tech, OLED anti-flicker tech, and OLED Care+ technologies. Additionally, this screen features a new RWGB subpixel layout, which allows this screen to present clearer text to users.
One neat visual aspect of this monitor is its translucent back design, which is different to other ROG gaming displays. Sadly we were not able to get a close enough look at this screen to see all of its inputs, though you can expect to see DisplayPort and HDMI 2.1 support.
Inside this screen, ASUS has implemented a suite of AI Assistant features that include AI Visual, AI Crosshair, AI Sniper, AI ShadowBoost, and the MOBA Map Helper to improve gaming experiences. To enhance the longevity of their latest OLED displays, ASUS has also enabled a suite of OLED Care+ technologies. With their latest screens, this includes new additions like Taskbar detection, outer dimming detection, and global dimming detection.
ASUS has confirmed that their new ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP monitor will be available for â¬1099. The screen will be backed up by a 3-year warranty. Note that this warranty covers burn-in, highlighting the confidence ASUS has in their OLED Care+ technology.
We have covered a lot of ASUS’ other Gamescom 2024 reveals, including their AMD X870/X870E motherboard reveals.
