RTX 5090 pre-orders could take 16 weeks to deliver – Overclockers UK claims

Don’t expect Nvidia’s RTX 5090 to be in stock anytime soon – Pre-orders may take 16 weeks to fulfil

Overclockers UK has issued a “Stock Update” for Nvidia’s RTX 50-series GPUs. The company has confirmed that demand has been “incredibly high” and that the company has stopped taking pre-orders for RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 graphics cards.

Pre-orders for Nvidia’s RTX 5080 GPU are estimated to take 2-6 weeks to fulfil. For Nvidia’s RTX 5090, pre-orders are estimated to take 3-16 weeks to fulfil. Clearly, Nvidia did not launch their RTX 50 series GPUs with enough supply to meet demand.

Overclockers UK has no plans to take further pre-orders for RTX 50 series GPUs until they have greater clarity regarding GPU availability and have fulfilled existing pre-orders. Those who want to purchase an RTX 50 series GPU can sign up for stock notifications via their GPU product pages.

Some RTX 50 pre-orderers may get their GPUs this month. Others may be waiting for almost four months to get their new graphics cards. During this time, Nvidia will be launching other RTX 50 series products. In a word, Nvidia’s supply of RTX 50 series GPUs at launch was disappointing. Clearly, Nvidia didn’t have enough GPUs to meet demand. Unfortunately, this means that day-1 orderers may have to wait four months for their new graphics card. That’s a long wait for a graphics card…
