Splave sets a new 3DMARK Port Royal World Record with ASUS’ ROG Astral RTX 5090
Splave has conquered the 3DMARK Port Royal performance charts with his overclocked ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090
Splave, the American Overclocker, has reached the top of the 3DMARK Port Royal leaderboard using a highly overclocked RTX 5090 graphics card. Specifically, he used an ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC.
Using LN2 cooling, Splave managed to achieve a score of 47375. For context, a GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition scored 34072 points in this benchmark when we reviewed that GPU earlier this year. This makes Splave’s RTX 5090 over 39% faster than a stock RTX 5090. Now that’s an incredible overclock!
This world record benchmark run was completed using a system with an Intel i9-14900KS CPU and a 32GB kit of G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 memory. This CPU has its 8 P-cores enabled and was clocked at 6 GHz. Splave’s memory was clocked at DDR5-7800 speeds with CL32 timings.
When 3DMARK Port Royal launched, scores of over 10,000 required heavy overclocks. Now, the world record is approaching a score of 50,000. This highlights how far GPU hardware has advanced since Port Royal’s launch. It also highlights the continued efforts of the overclocking community. Overclockers like Spave are pushing the limits of what PC hardware is capable of. It will likely take years for hardware to become available that will break this record without heavy overclocking.
