This external capture device offers users support for up to 4K 144Hz HDR pass-through with 4K 60 FPS capture support. With HDMI 2.1 consoles being available for almost three years now, and 4K 120Hz compatible TVs and monitors are now readily available at lower prices than ever before. The consumer capture card market has lagged behind the capabilities of modern gaming systems. Thanks to AverMedia, streamers now have access to a capture card that supports up to 4K 144Hz passthrough. This capture card also supports variable refresh rates (VRR).

Back at Computex 2023, AVerMedia revealed their Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 HDMI 2.1 (GC553G2) external capture card alongside a new HDMI 2.1 internal capture card called the Live Gamer 4K 2.1 (GC575). Sadly, the Live Gamer 4K 2.1 still lacks an official release date.
