Thermal Grizzly ROG Astral RTX 5090 water block nears launch
Thermal Grizzly’s almost ready to launch their first GPU water block
Thermal Grizzly is preparing to launch its first GPU water block, a DeltaMate series product specifically designed for ASUS’ ROG Astral RTX 5090. The company has issued a new update on its progress on the water block, confirming that the block’s design is finished and will be produced over the coming weeks.
Thermal Grizzly is already well-known within the enthusiast PC space. They have created direct-die water blocks for many CPUs and make some of the best thermal pastes on the market. Now, the company is pushing further into the PC liquid cooling market with its DeltaMate brand.
As of now, Thermal Grizzly needs to finish nickel plating on its DeltaMate ROG Astral RTX 5090 water blocks and then complete their assembly and quality control steps. Thermal Grizzly has not committed to a release date for its new GPU water block. The company’s production schedule implies that their new water blocks will be released before September.
Our much-anticipated DeltaMate GPU Water Block for the ROG Astral RTX 5090 will be the first GPU Block produced in Germany by Thermal Grizzly. It features exemplary surface finish and attention to detail with a dual finish machined copper coldplate that is glass blasted and re-machined prior to nickel plating. Underpinned by the same 0.20mm micro-fins as our Mycro CPU Water Blocks and supplied with Thermal Grizzly Duronaut, Minus Pad Advance and Putty Advance this is built to perform.
There have been some delays that make our initial schedule of availability during July 2025 unlikely. To avoid any further disappointment, we will not be announcing a specific launch date or enabling pre-orders for this product. Instead, you can check this news article for regular and transparent updates on the status and tasks that remain ahead of us.

Eventually, DeltaMate water blocks will be created for CPUs and other GPUs. We saw the company’s planned AM5 water block at Computex.
As Thermal Grizzly’s liquid cooling lineup expands, the company has the potential to become a new liquid cooling juggernaut. That said, Thermal Grizzly needs to make a success of its first DeltaMate product launch. Expectations are high; let’s hope that Thermal Grizzly can meet them.
