ViewSonic to reveal 520Hz OLED monitor at CES 2025
ViewSonic may launch the world’s fastest OLED monitor at CES 2025
According to a report from Computerbase.de, ViewSonic plans to reveal what could be the world’s fastest OLED monitor at CES 2025. This new ViewSonic screen reportedly features a 520Hz refresh rate and is assumed to use a 27-inch 1440p panel.
It is unknown what screen technology will power this monitor. It may be a new Samsung QD (Quantum Dot) OLED panel or a refined LG screen. The monitor will reportedly support AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro technology and feature a 1ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time). This should give this monitor excellent motion clarity and a great gaming experience.
With a 520Hz refresh rate, this new monitor is 40Hz faster than today’s fastest 1440p OLED displays. Samsung has reportedly created 500Hz Quantum Dot OLED screens that are targeting a Q1 2025 launch. It’s possible that Samsung’s new panels are running faster than earlier reports suggested, enabling the creation of 520Hz screens. However, it is equally likely that a Samsung competitor, like LG, has created ultra-fast 520Hz OLED screens.
We expect to see this new ultra-fast 520Hz ViewSonic OLED monitor at CES 2025. We will report on this monitor again when we hear more about it.
