ViewSonic VX3220-4K-Pro Monitor revealed with 31.5-inch 4K IPS Panel and 150Hz Refresh Rate

Every major monitor manufacturer is investing heavily into the gaming display market, knowing that it is the fastest-growing segment of the broader display ecosystem. Today, 4K 144Hz monitors are starting to become common, with prices tricking down as standards like HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 become more widely adopted.  

Today, 4K 144Hz monitors are old hat. That’s why ViewSonic’s new VX3220-4K-Pro 31.5-inch monitor promises users more, a whole 6 Hz more. ViewSonic’s VX3220-4K-Pro is a 150Hz monitor, using a 6 Hz overclock mode to surpass what their competitors are offering.

With an IPS panel, a 1.07 billion colour depth (8-bit FRC), VRR support, and support for HDMI 2.1 (2x port) and DisplayPort 1.4 (2x ports), this 31.5-inch monitor promises to deliver strong gaming performance with a factory-calibrated dE
This monitor promises users a 1ms G2G response time, HDR 400 support (so don’t expect great HDR support), 178/178 degree viewing angle support, and 100% and 83% coverage of the sRGB and Adobe RGB colour spaces, respectively. 

While this screen supports 150Hz refresh rates, this “upgrade” is a mere 6 Hz higher than the screen’s standard non-overclocked 144Hz refresh rate support. 150Hz is around 4% higher than 144Hz, and practically all users won’t be able to notice any difference between both refresh rates. 

For gaming, the ViewSonic VX3200-4K-Pro should be a great display, albeit one with lacklustre HDR support. That said, higher-level HDR support always comes with a huge price increase, making it unaffordable for most users.
