It’s about to start. The AMD Radeon RX 9070 series GPU reveal is mere hours away. Soon, PC gamers will be getting a deep dive into AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs and their new RDNA 4 graphics architecture.

AMD briefly discussed RDNA 4 at CES 2025 and confirmed that it has made sweeping changes to its RDNA graphics architecture. RDNA 4 has “Optimised Compute Units,” “Supercharged AI Compute,” “Improved Ray Tracing” (per CU), and “Better Media Encoding.” In other words, AMD has better traditional compute, AI compute, and ray tracing compute. Furthermore, we have better media encoding support for streamers and video editors.

AMD’s RDNA 4/RX 9070 series reveal stream will start at 1 PM (GMT) on February 28th. You can watch the stream below.

AMD still has a lot to tell us about RDNA 4. The pricing of AMD’s GPUs remains undisclosed. The exact performance of AMD’s new GPUs is unknown. Will AMD be able to compete with Nvidia’s RTX 50 series with their new RX 9070 series models?

AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series launch comes at a bad time for Nvidia. RTX 50 series GPU availability is poor. Additionally, Nvidia’s generational uplifts with its RTX 50 series are small. Aside from DLSS Multi Frame Generation support, Nvidia’s newest GPUs offer very little that their RTX 40 series couldn’t. That gives AMD an opportunity to gain market share.
