Microsoft announces their Gears of War 4 system requirements

10 Minutes of Gears of War 4 PC Gameplay

At PAX West Microsoft has been showing off their latest PC build of Gears of War 4 running on PC at 60FPS with keyboard and mouse controls. PCGAMER has been able to play and record this demo, stating after their time with it that the game runs well and that the controls "felt natural" on keyboard and mouse.

Hopefully, this means that Microsoft is finally ready to release a UWP game on Windows 10 that will satisfy PC gamers when it comes to performance, as right now most PC gamers simply avoid the Windows 10 App store to avoid horrible PC ports like Quantum Break and Gears of War Ultimate Edition.

This game will be part of Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere program, meaning that those who purchase this game on Xbox One will get a free PC version and vice-versa. Gears of War 4 will also be a DirectX 12 title with "over two-dozen graphics settings" for PC gamers to play with.

Below are the PC system requirements for Gears of War 4's PC version, requiring a minimum of an Intel i5 3470 at 3.0GHz and a Nvidia GTX 750Ti or an FX 6300 and an R7 260X. You can view the full PC system requirements below.

Gears of War 4 will release on October 11th on both Windows 10 PC and Xbox One.

played a bit of this at i58 and it was alright. Nothing amazing but it might have been because it was being overshadowed by the new dead rising.Quote

Shame we don't have the choice of removing the online multiplayer component if we don't want it to save space.Quote
