Acer has announced three new displays with Tobii eye-tracking and G-Sync

Acer has announced three new displays with Tobii eye-tracking, shutter-free gaming with Nvidia G-Sync and refresh rates that range from 144Hz to 240Hz depending on the model.

To start off, we have the Acer Predator Z271T, a display that features an 1800R curve a size of 27 inches and resolution of 1080p with a refresh rate of 144Hz. This display will release in October at the price of €799

Second, we have the smaller Predator XB251HQT, a 24.5 inch display that features a 1080p resolution with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, making this one of the fastest monitors that are available on the market.

Third and finally Acer has announced their 27 inch 1440p Predator XB271HUT display, which features an overclocked 165Hz refresh rate and a price of around €899

Tobii eye tracking has so far not been adopted by many games, though many popular releases that include Deus Ex: Mankind Divided do offer support for this new technology. This technology effectively allows users to use their eye movement as a new input, allowing your gaze to affect the game.

Acer's Curved Z271T is expected to release in October, and the Predator XB271HUT is expected to launch in December. At this time the 240Hz XB251HQT does not have a set release date.

Looks cool, but wouldn't buy one after many bad experiences of acer monitors and a pitiful RMA process in the mid 2000's, especially at such a steep price for something at the moment which is essentially a gimmick.Quote
