Acer Predator 8 Gaming Tablet

The specifications and pricing for Acer’s Predator 8 Gaming Tablet have been announced and I think it is safe to say that it will be one of the most powerful android gaming experiences out there, containing Intel’s latest x7 CPU at clock of up to 2.4GHz, which is highly impressive for a tablet SoC. The tablet will be releasing for the price of $299.99, making this tablet fairly affordable, especially when compared to other higher end tablets.

Get an insane gaming experience on a very portable tablet. You’re your mobile gaming experience to all-new heights with immersive sound, powerful components and a revolutionary display.

This tablet will be running on Android Lollipop 5.0, though hopefully we will be seeing an update to Marshmallow in the future. The tablet will be available in 32GB and 64GB capacities and come with a large 4,420mAh battery.

On the Audio side this device has 4 front facing speakers, giving this device top tier audio performance for a tablet device and features haptic feedback while playing games for increased immersion. The screen size of this device will be 8 inches and have a resolution of 1920×1200, which is the same as Nvidia’s Shield Tablet.

Right now we do not know how well this tablet will compare to solutions like Nvidia’s Shield tablet, but the specs on show here should be more than adequate to play almost any android game available today. Sadly right now we see no controller attachment for this device, but 3rd party options will be available.
