It has been announced that all of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's campaign will be unlocked from the start, allowing players to play it in any order they wish.

While the developers do say the that this is about player choice, we must remember that this time the campaign can be played in Co-op with two player split screen or with 4 players online, so allowing players to play levels in any order will allow players to find online players for Co-op much easier, especially during the later stages of the games life cycle.

"The unlocking level system is an archaic mentality we've had since we did bedroom development back in the day—you do this, then go on to the next one,"

"Consumers and game players in general are far more mature these days. There are so many things vying for our interests today. It's about, how do they want to consume it? Maybe they put it down on level two, and then they're in work the next day, and some guy says, 'Dude, you've got to check out level four!' And he's like, 'Okay, I'll have a quick look.' That's totally fine. I think it's their choice."

Black Ops III engrosses players in a dark and gritty future, where a new breed of Black Ops soldier has emerged, and the lines between humanity and military technology have been blurred. You must navigate the hot spots of a new Cold War to find your missing brothers. While much has changed, one thing remains the same: everything you know may be wrong. How far down the rabbit hole are you willing to go to uncover the disturbing truth?

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 promised to be the best Call of Duty games coming to PC in recent years, promising the following features.

Black Ops 3 PC features will include:

  • - 100% Ranked Dedicated Servers

Looks like he has had a few bad years hitting the bottle in the CoD trailer
Yay for Starbuck though, i've had a thing for Katee Sackhoff for years. Can't wait for EVE Valkyrie so I can pretend i'm in BSG with her as my co-pilot

Not sure about this letting you do the levels how and when you want, a few games have done this in the past and they just don't feel right because they have to make them fit together no matter which order you play them. Not sure if that is how they are going about it but I hope not.Quote

Is this their way of implementing time travel in the game?Quote
