AMD Are rumored to launch Polaris at the end of the month

Right now AMD Are rumored to be launching their Polaris GPUs at the end of the month in Macau China, just before Computex.

This rumored press event is said to take place between May 26th and May 31st, with AMD planning to show off Polaris based GPUs with their AIB (Add-in Board) Partners during Computex 2016 in Taipei. This means that we should be seeing Polaris based GPUs from the likes of ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI and other GPU manufacturers by this time next month.

Right now the performance of AMD's Polaris based GPUs are unknown, but AMD has stated that with Polaris they want to make VR more affordable, so expect to see R9 390X and above performance with some attractive price points.

At this time, we can only guess at how well AMD's High-end Polaris based offering will compare to Nvidia's GTX 1080, but with the release of both Pascal and Polaris so soon it is certainly going to be an interesting time for PC enthusiasts.

If AMD don't screw up launching this and Zen, they will have a fighting chance of claiming market share back from Nvidia and Intel which by god I hope they do.Quote

Well tbf Polaris is meant to replace the mainstream cards, like 390x/390. So don't expect anything uber awesome. Unless they were only dealing a smoke screen and it is infact faster than a fury x. But then that wouldn't be screwing it up

I'm pretty interested in there power consumption improvements. 14nm is a huge upgrade, then add on FinFET? Should see some amazing results. Hopefully they overclock like crazy too, Pascal does with FinFET, hopefully that carries overQuote
