AMD's Fury X benchmarks shows amazing 4K performance in Far Cry 4, which is super Impressive for an Nvidia branded GameWorks title.

AMD's R9 Fury X is AMD's new Flagship GPU, which features the all new HBM memory architecture, packs over 4000 GCN GPU cores and has 1.5x the performance per watt of previous generation AMD GPUs. With these gains in performance AMD have a serious competitor on their hands, which not just has great performance, but runs cool at under 50 degrees and quietly at 32 dB.

In Far Cry 4 AMD have stated that the game will never go under 43 FPS and will run with an average framerate of 54 FPS, which beats out out GTX 980Ti results with ease, which is amazing for game which is using Nvidia's GameWorks. It makes us wonder how well it will perform in Non-Nvidia games, but I guess we will all know soon enough.

While we do still need to confirm this for ourselves with out own independent testing, this makes us think that AMD will make Nvidia have to rethink their pricing in the near future, for at least their GTX 980 Ti and Titan X.

AMD's R9 Fury X will be hitting store shelves on June 24th and we expect that these GPUs to simply fly off the shelves and into the systems of enthusiasts.

Wow, 4K is becoming more and more viable. I hope to see consistent 60 FPS at 4K in the next year or two.Quote

My only question, Is it only 4Gb vram? Or because it's HBM it's pretty much equivalent to 8gb?

In all fairness I'm probably not going to get one purely because I own a swift and obviously g-sync won't work.Quote

Hard to know, would need independent testing to see how HBM handles cappaciyQuote
