This year many new people were taken in by the humble city builder game with the release of Cities Skylines, not Ubisoft want's to take the title of best city builder back with Anno 2205.

Anno 2205 is a futuristic city builder which is developed by Blue Byte. It is a PC first title and will bring players to many unique environments and worlds. The game will release on both PS4 and Xbox one at a later date.

This PC game not only challenged you to build a city, but a society which can reach out into space. You start by building a metropolis on earth, to then produce production colonies on the moon, which in turn will help you develop new technologies and earn yet more money to build you city.

Below is the game's E3 Trailer, enjoy.

"Players must develop rich metropolises on Earth that are capable of launching missions to the moon as they race to establish production colonies on the lunar surface. By mining the Moon’s resources to send back down to Earth, Anno 2205 players will receive the benefits of technological advancements and the tools to help expand their cities and transform them into thriving metropolises."

Ages ago Ubi sent a survey about Anno was hoping they were going to make another played 1404 and 2070 really good games you can lose days in, will be hard to resist the pre-order feel when it's availableQuote

Anno 2070 was certainly quite a good game, however I felt that it was missing some really big things I.E alliances etc etc Especially the AIs they pose no challenge regardless of how hard they are placed on.

If they get rid of the crappy DRM BS then I would be getting this 100%

Bloody Uplay made it so that I couldnt play the game for 3 days before I could play the game I bought because an update to support Asassins creed screwed it up. They support was complete and utter garbage and I ended up having to just find my own solution by modifying they files, only to receive a reply from their support by a machine like moron a week later. Wasted my break.Quote

THIS! is what I'm waiting for .

God knows how many hours I've sunk into Anno 2070, will probably be the same for Anno 2205.

Hopefully by then I'll have got a 34" G-sync monitor to give it justice, see my world in all it's glory.

To get my city building fix in the meantime I bought City Skylines in the Steam sale; it's a bit dull, eh, no, extremely dull. I think I'll give it a little more time to see if it grabs me before I've spent 1h 59m on it .

Anyway, Anno 2205, something to really look forward to!Quote

City skylines isn't bad once you open everything and start spreading out, what it doesn't have is the production lines of anno, Banished with the colonial mod is getting thereQuote

I know it's only a trailer and not game play, but hey, that looks amazing. Definitely going to be signing up for the beta.
