In their latest EEC listing, ASRock, as spotted by Komachi on Twitter, revealed new Radeon graphics cards, including several Radeon RX 6600 XT and Radeon RX 6600 models, all of which featured 8GB frame buffers.

At this time, it is unknown where AMD's Radeon RX 6600 XT and Radeon RX 6600 sit in AMD's product stack. Rumour has it that AMD has a Radeon RX 6700 (Non-XT) in the works, theoretically placing the RX 6600 XT two stages below AMD's RX 6700 XT. The 8GB frame buffers on these graphics cards suggest that they will utilise a 128-bit memory bus, and the graphics card will likely feature a 64MB Infinity Cache.

Depending on where the Radeon RX 6600 XT sits on AMD's product stack, it could compete with Nvidia's RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 3060. That said, if AMD positions its 8GB Radeon RX 6600 XT against Nvidia's 12GB RTX 3060, they will be shooting themselves in the foot by allowing their existing RX 6000 series marketing claims to be used against them. AMD's RX 6700, RX 6800, and RX 6900 series GPUs heavily marketed the size of their frame buffers as major selling points, and failing to do the same in the mid-range market will undermine their marketing efforts.

AMD's Radeon RX 6600 series GPUs will likely target high framerate 1080p gaming and 1440p gaming. Based on the company's EEC listings, ASRock plans to launch RX 6600/6600 XT models under their Challenger D, Challenger ITX, Challenger Pro, and Phantom Gaming brands.
