Assassin's Creed: Rogue System Requirements released

Assassin's Creed: Rogue was last years Assassin's Creed Game for Last Generation Consoles, the PS3 and the Xbox 360, which was greatly overshadowed by Assassin's Creed Unity on the current Generation consoles. The reason for this game passing by mostly unnoticed was the fact that Ubisoft refused to give anybody a review copy in order to push it's Next Generation counterpart.

This game is much more similar to Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag both in terms of gameplay and story, with the return of Naval combat and a lot of returning characters. Sadly Ubisoft did not give any recommended specifications, but at least their Minimum specs are much more forgiving than Assassin's Creed Unity which required the Minimum of a GTX 680 to play..... well if you call it playing it.

Minimum PC configuration

  • OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit versions only)

  • Note: Laptop versions of these cards may work but are not officially supported

In Rogue you play as Shay Patrick Cormac, who is looking for revenge in the frozen north atlantic. We'll have a chance to catch up with some familiar characters from Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, including Haytham Kenway and Adéwalé. It looks like the boat combat of AC4 will be featured heavily, and locations will reach beyond the icy northern regions to more tropical locations.

My recommendation is to not pre-order this title as they are asking for £39.99 for this game, which even with it's pre-order bonuses does not present anything that resembles a good deal. We must also remember Ubisoft's reputation for releasing sub-par PC versions and generally disappointing games as of late.

Assassin's Creed Rogue is expected to launch in November this year, with the PC version coming on March 10th 2015. It is unknown at present if Rogue will ever come to next Gen Consoles at a later date as Ubisioft refused to comment.

Almost seems like they released Rogue and Unity in the wrong order. Very weird to have a "sequel" be that much lighter than the predecessor.Quote
