It looks like ASUS has been working on a new Hybrid cooled GPU to their ROG GeForce GPU lineup in the form of the ROG Poseidon GTX 980.

Featuring the republic of gamers brand, Poseidon GTX 980 will feature faster clock speeds, a customized PCB design along with ASUS' Hybrid DirectCU H2O liquid cooler which was first introduced on the GeForce GTX 780 Poseidon last year.

Nice find but is there really any point seeing as non reference 980's don't really get hot and reference blower style cards according to OCUK are being phased out as the manufacturers are concentrating on their own designs i.e DCU2, ACX 2.0 etc...Quote

With Maxwell none really other than looks as the blower style reference models are being phased out so this is pretty much just a cash grab.Quote
