ASUS' GTX 980Ti STRIX Smiles for the camera - Computex 2015

Yesterday ASUS announced their next generation STRIX Cooling technology on their GTX 980Ti Strix at Computex 2015, with 3 100mm fans, large 10mm thick nickel plated heatpipes and a PCB which is 1.5x the size of the Standard GTX 980Ti.

ASUS also boast that this GPU will remain silent at up to 65 degrees celcius and staying at very low noise levels, even while under full load. Each of the three 100mm fans on this GPU can also be controlled from ASUS' GPU Tweak software, allowing you to adjust the thermals and acoustics of the card at will.

The height of this card will be 50% larger than that of the Reference GTX 980Ti and will feature a full cover backplate, which in my opinion looks very nice with it's red GPU bracing plate.

This GPU will also come with a 15% factory overclock, so it should easily outperform a GTX Titan X at stock. Hopefully this GPU will be as impressive, if not more impressive than the sample in our GTX 980Ti Reference Review

It certainly looks like ASUS have an epic card on the way with the GTX 980Ti Strix, hopefully it will met our thermal and acoustic expectations if not outright smash them.

That red looks horrible to me though. Hope it performs better than it looks.Quote

Hehe I actually, really dislike the backplate. I'm a more sleek and simple design kind of person.Quote

Completely agree with the red, thought the Strix colour scheme was also meant to be black and amber?Quote

I love the design of it, although I'm not 100% sure on the backplateQuote
