AMD Fury and Fury X Prices announced

ASUS R9 Fury Strix listed online

The ASUS R9 Fury Strix has been listed online for the price of 624 Euros, which  is very close to the price of a custom GTX 980.

The GPU will be using ASUS' new DirectCU III cooler, and will likely come with a factory overclock. The official release of AMD's R9 Fury is on the 14th of July, with 3rd party solutions coming in the following weeks. Below are recently leaked specifications of AMD's R9 Fury.

Directly converting it's price from Euros into pounds get us a price of around £450.

ASUS R9 Fury Strix listed online

The Fury  will use the latest iteration of AMD's GCN architecture making it compatible with the DirectX 12, Mantle and Vulcan APIs, FreeSync and VR Solutions like the Oculus Rift.

In sheer core count the R9 Fury GPU will be roughly 12.5% less powerful, but given the fact that this model will be available in non-reference versions and will likely be available with factory overclocks. This GPU in my opinion will be the most interesting GPU of this generation, with a price point which competes with the GTX 980, but specifications which should, in theory, beat it easily.

It would be a great looking card if it wasn't red.. Hopefully the red is just metal accent plates that could be switched with blue or even white... Would be amazing tbh!

Also hopefully they cool the VRMS and memory this time unlike the previous AMD versions.Quote

I don't get why it is the strix when it has the black red thing going... Might as well just call it the DCU and just repaint the cooler all black and call it the 'strix' Quote

I was close. I said either £400 or £430. However, I'm probably bob on, given this is a Strix and thus will demand a higher price
