ASUS have just announced their new ROG Swift PG348Q 34" 3440x1440 G-Sync curved monitor with a refresh rate of up to 100Hz.

This monitor uses an ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio, giving the user a wider field of view in games and a lot of extra workspace for office applications. The monitor itself used ASUS' unique Titanium Armour and Copper colour scheme, with an Republic of Gamers light projection at the base, giving this monitor a very unique aesthetic and a premium feel.

This monitor offers the perfect balance between refresh rate, resolution and monitor width available now, stretching the DisplayPort 1.2 protocol to its absolute limits, offering what is arguably the best gaming monitor available.

This monitor uses a 34 inch 3440x1440 IPS display that supports refresh rates of up to 100Hz with Nvidia's G-Sync technology, giving this monitor a variable refresh rate when used with Nvidia GPUs.

On this monitor there is also a built in 4x USB 3.0 hub, supports 100% sRGB colour gamut and is VESA 100x100 compatible, making this monitor suitable for much more than just gaming.

ROG Swift PG348Q is a 34-inch gaming monitor with an Ultra-Wide QHD (3440 x 1440) panel that gives users highly detailed visuals and more onscreen space than WQHD monitors. Its ultra-wide 21:9 aspect curved display provides an immersive panoramic gaming experience. The panel curvature of the display ensures every point is equidistant to the user’s eyes to ensure a comfortable viewing experience during marathon gaming sessions.

Swift PG348Q takes gaming aesthetics to a new level, and recently won the 2016 CES Innovation Award. It has a frameless design, sports the new ROG Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper color scheme, and features ROG light effects built-into its stand add ambience to gaming set-ups.

Swift PG348Q features NVIDIA G-SYNC technology to eliminate screen tearing, minimize stuttering, and reduce input lag; it also has a Turbo key to overclock the refresh rate up to 100Hz for incredibly-smooth gaming gameplay. ASUS-exclusive GamePlus and GameVisual technologies to enhance the gaming experience.

If the reviews are good I have no issues dropping the money. This is the monitor I've been waiting for the last year and a half. I sure hope it lives up to the hype!. Quote

Really keen for this. I could do without the logo projection and the orange colour and the stand is a bit take it or leave it but.... I care not aside from it could have saved a few bucks.

Please be quality. Feature wise it's the same as the Acer, just hope the QC is good!

Right. Off to sell a kidney.

edit - can anyone confirm if it's VESA mount compatible? Just saw someone say it's not which is a bit odd.

RE-Edit - nevermind - facebook is full of misinformation. Unusual I know...Quote

Overclockers.co.uk and several other webshops lists it as VESA 100x100 compatible, even the ROG website they mentioned it a while back. It sure doesn't look like it, but seems to support it so far...Quote
