ASUS Show off a prototype 4K 144Hz monitor, offering both an ultra high resolution and ultra high framerate options. This monitor will make use of the VESA DisplayPort 1.3 standard, allowing this monitor to surpass the traditional 4K 60Hz limitation of DisplayPort 1.2.

ASUS's prototype monitor is using a 27 inch 4K TN panel, creating what is easily the highest specifications that I have ever seen on a monitor. Below is a video that showcases some of ASUS' prototype displays from PC Games Hardware

Right now we do not know when displays like this will hit the market, or if any of these displays will support Adaptive framerate standards like FreeSync or G-Sync.  Hopefully, we will learn more on these upcoming DisplayPort 1.3 Displays soon.
