Bethesda and Arkane Studios announce Prey

Bethesda and Arkane Studios have announced Prey, a brand new IP for Bethesda that offers first person Sci-Fi action with a Psychological twist.

If the trailer is to be believed the game will offer some breathtaking visuals, though as with any E3 trailer you shouldn't believe the visuals until some proper gameplay footage is shown approaching the games release.

Arkane Studios, the team behind the critically acclaimed Dishonored series, is bringing their unique vision to Prey, a first-person sci-fi action game that reimagines the franchise from the ground up… with an added psychological twist.

You are Morgan Yu, the subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race. You awaken aboard the Talos 1 in the year 2032 and must uncover the secrets hiding in the depths of the space station while being hunted by the mysterious alien force that has taken over. You’ll have to rely on the tools you find on the station – along with your wits, weapons and mind-bending abilities – to combat the growing threat and, hopefully, survive. Get your first look at Prey in the cinematic reveal trailer.

This game will launch on PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime in 2017.

Yeah, but the original concept was a really nice Bladerunner-esque "Bounty Hunter in an Alien City" type thing.

I'm interested in seeing what this reboot becomes, but I can't help feel let down that they didn't keep that original concept; it would've been amazing.Quote

Yes yes yes yes!!! All the yes! It was the game I was hoping to see and they didn't disappoint one bit, it looked lush too. Can't wait to start exploring and running around the ceilings again.Quote

Looks alright but the original game style was much better in my opinion with the portals mixed gravity and bow. Loved it still one of my all time favourite gamesQuote
