Bethesda has “concerns” over new IP Battlecry

Bethesda has announced a lot of new games over the last while, but not all have been popular.  The studio has now stated that it is “concerned” about their new 3rd person Free-To-Play action game Battlecry, saying that they are “evaluating” the game.

When I first initially viewed Battlecry’s announcement trailer during Bethesda’s E3 2015 livestream I personally found very little in the way of inspiration, another 3rd person Free-To-Play game I though, as did many other games journalists. Hopefully Bethesda does find out what need to be done to the title in order to gain popularity, as it would be a shame to see the effort that has already been placed into the game go to waste, but right now this game looks like just another Free-To-Play game in an already saturate market.

“We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it,” the company’s statement reads. “We are evaluating what improvements the game needs to meet our quality standards. The studio remains busy during this process on multiple projects.”

After the initial E3 announcement of this game fans would be able to sign up to the game’s beta, a beta which never actually happened and those who have played the game came out with an experience which “wasn’t exactly awe-inspiring”, as said by PCGAMER.

Right now the future of Bethesda’s Battlecry is unknown, though right now it looks like it will either need to receive a large overhaul or in an extreme case be canceled.
