Bioshock Remastered will soon be getting FOV options on PC

While Bioshock Remastered is a welcome update for PC users it is far from a perfect PC port, lacking full FOV options, support for 21:9 resolution and contains many of the mouse acceleration issues that plagued the original PC versions.

Now 2K games have announced that they will be updating the PC version of Bioshock Remastered in order to address these issues, adding an FOV slider to Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Minerva's Den as well as reduce some stability issues and mouse control issues.

Below is a list of what 2K are planning to address with this future patch.

  • - General Mouse Fixes, including better Mouse Smoothing, Sensitivity and Acceleration Options in BioShock;
  • - Additional Speaker Mode Options in Audio Settings in BioShock;
  • - Improved FoV Slider Options in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
  • - Support for 21:9 display ratios in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
  • - General stability improvement to reduce instances of game crashes.

Bioshock Remastered will soon be getting FOV options on PC

This update will address our main criticisms of the PC versions of Bioshock Remastered, though at this time 2K has not announced a release timeframe for this future update.

This game started my love/hate relationship with PC building/upgrading.

When it was first released a lot of older graphics cards didn't run the game correctly, something to do with a revision of DirectX. Even remember some clever peop's trying there hardest to create a working mod , for us unfortunates owning the wrong cards.

Fast forward to 2016 and guess what, history repeating its self. This game still causing problems for many many people. (waits patiently for a fix) My ageing rig (X79 system with SLI 780's) failing to run this game constant crash-city. Older 560Ti will not even start the game. (was pushing my luck trying that).

So my point being, FOV sliders being fixed all good and dandy......... HOWEVER what DAFUQ about the many other problems like crashing city and vanishing saves. ......Priorities gentlemen and women, priorities....Quote

My brother played through all three without issues like that. Used a 6990 and then 7990 for infinite.

Might be fixed now. Or the people experiencing the problem may bot be using the latest drivers DX or something. Certainly hope legitimate issues from so long ago arent still present.Quote
