Bioshock: The Collection will release on PC later today
Bioshock: The Collection will release on PC later today at 3pm PST/11PM BST, upgrading existing Bioshock and Bioshock 2 copies on Steam to the newly remastered versions for free.
BioShock: The Collection, and the free upgrades, launch globally on September 15, 2016 on Steam at 3pm PT (12am UTC/ 8am AEST September 16).
If you have a physical copy of BioShock or BioShock 2 on PC, or a Games for Windows Live digital copy, it may take a few additional steps to unlock the new remastered version. Please go here to learn how to unlock your copy of Bioshock and Bioshock 2 on Steam.
Below are the PC system requirements for Bioshock: The Collection.
Minimum Specs:
- OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64-bit
- Processor: Intel E6750 Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz / AMD Athlon X2 2.7 GHZ
- Memory: 4 GB
- Hard Drive: BioShock 25GB; BioShock 2 25GB; BioShock Infinite 20GB; Total for all three games 70GB
- Video Card: DirectX11 Compatible, AMD Radeon HD 7770 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Sound Device
- Other Requirements: Software installations required including DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 & 2012 Redistributable Package.

- Memory: 8 GB

- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Sound Device
Bioshock Infinite will not be getting a remastered version on PC as the existing version already has the graphical options to "meet current-gen console standards", meaning that the remastered console version will essentially have the same visuals as the existing PC version of the game.
It is great to see that 2K games are offering gamers this upgrade on PC free of charge, as I am sure that plenty of PC gamers would be glad to pay a small price for the visual upgrade.

I no longer bother to even check for the game that is being released on "X" day with all these idiotic PT/AM/PM horse . I just check 2 days later to skip the annoyance of checking when it's actually releasing.

Is this like an automatic update? I just started Steam and nothing is happening (it's not updating or downloading anything)
