Bladestorm Nightmare Announced for PC!

Bladestorm Nightmare had been announced for PC and it will be coming in May 2015, only two months after it's console release in March on the PS4, Xbox One and PS3. Bladestorm Nightmare follows on from Bladestorm: the Hundred Years War, which was released back in 2007 on PS3 and X360. It is a strategy game which focuses on the historical events that transpired in Europe of the middle-ages.

This marks another console exclusive to make it's way to PC, which is a great thing to see.

While the original game received a rather mixed reception, this was the game with a demo that I could play over and over again. Being in my early teens upon the games release I sadly couldn't afford to purchase the title, meaning that the Demo was the only experience I had with the game. With that being said there were full priced games I played less than that demo.

The Story of the game makes a major turn from the original, alongside the normal "free mission system" of the game where players play as a mercenary for both the English and the French armies there is also a separate "Nightmare mode" where the historical aspect of the game is thrown to one side as the armies of both the English and the French have to contend with Huge monsters such like dragons and other nasty beasts.

"In the Hundred Years war, players enjoy a free mission system that allows them to experience the battle from the view points of both the English and the French. Meeting and interacting with such heroes of history as Joan of Arc and Edward, the Black Prince, brings the story to vivid life.
In addition to this, we have included an original Nightmare mode involving huge monsters such as dragons and cyclops. The heroes of history are called upon to fight once more, as England and France join together in common cause to fight mysterious monsters in an entirely new take on the world of the Hundred Years War."

The game will also include a major increase in graphical fidelity, which is unsurprising given that the original game is around 8 years old.

"The latest graphic technologies have been used to create the amazing battles of a Medieval battleground.
We will also include an online multiplayer function, a revised character edit mode and assorted other new features for an enjoyable new game experience."

I am personally really looking forward to this game, both for the sake of nostalgia and also because I have personally never played another game like it, and better yet I will be able to play it on my PC.
