Maximum Power for Maximum Overclocking - Colorful has a 630W RTX 4090 graphics card
Different GPU models ship with different maximum power ratings. For Nvidia's RTX 4090, these power limits often sit between 500W and 600W, with 600W models often being premium models from manufacturers. Graphics cards with higher power limits are often designed with overclocking in mind, with these heightened power limits enabling higher overclocks and higher performance levels.
Colorful's RTX 4090 iGame Neptune graphics card is designed for overclocking, shipping with a liquid cooling solution that features a large 360mm radiator. This graphics card also ships with the highest maximum power rating that we have seen for an RTX 4090 graphics card, maxing out at 630 watts. That's 30 watts higher than most premium RTX 4090 GPUs.
While 30 watts does not sound like much, it is worth remembering that Nvidia's RTX 4090 graphics cards are already power hungry GPUs with their reference TGP of 450W. When overclocking, Colorful's Neptune graphics card can pull an additional 180 watts of power. For context, that's enough power for graphics cards like Nvidia's RTX 2060.

Colorful has recomended that users of their RTX 4090 iGame Neptune have a power supply that is capable of deliver 1000 watts of power or more. The graphics card also features a "One Clock Overclock" feature that can push the GPU's boost clock speeds to 2640 MHz.
With enhanced cooling and a higher maximum TGP, Colorful's RTX 4090 iGame Neptune has the potential to be one of the fastest RTX 4090 graphics cards on the market. That said, maximum performance relies on factors outside of power draw and cooling potential. Silicon quality is also a major factor.
