Creative Assembly announced their Call of the Beastmen DLC for Total War Warhammer, bringing a new faction to the grand campaign as well as a unique story campaign.

This DLC will be the first major piece of paid for DLC for the game, adding the new Chaos-tainted Horde race/faction to the game with 2 legendary lords and as well as a new lore of magic and adds yet more variety to this fantasy wargame.

As The Beastmen emerge from their woodland lairs, ten thousand hooves stamp in agitated union, and a foetid musk arises from the sea of matted fur. The bray of the battle-horns pierces the gloom, and beyond: from Bordeleaux to Ostermark, the Call Of The Beastmen will be heard across The Old World!

The Horde/Beastmen will have a unique gameplay style, being able to traverse overgrown "beastpaths" on the campaign map and possessing unique and unconventional battle tactics.

This new DLC will add new units and abilities to existing factions for those who do not buy this DLC, giving existing players more from Total War Warhammer even without paying for this new piece of DLC.

*Fingers crossed for Chaos Dwarves*

Not much hope, but I only spent hundreds of hours painting the little bastards so I'd like to see them on the screen all finished instead of half a white model army haha. Also not having CA glue on your fingers is a big plus.Quote

Chaos Dwarves are very unlikely to appear, and if they do not for a while until game 3

Really excited for this DLC, half the roster has vanguard deployment, that'll make some interesting strategies, especially in multiplayerQuote

Youre probably right... : (.
Chaos dwarves were very op anyway what with the ability to enslave whatever units desired ha-ha. Blunderbusses following the snotling pump wagon into battle with earthshakers disrupting everything else? Classic.Quote

They are really considered a minor faction compared to the main races. And most minor factions will end up being DLC and with Chaos rumored to be the main protagonist(or antagonist depending on how you look at it) until game 3, that's probably when they will get a DLC for a subfaction or etc.

Either way, i'm going to enjoy all 16 planned factions so don't matter what order they come in. I'm not a lore nut, i just wanna playQuote
