CryEngine Source code becomes available on Github

CryEngine's source code has become available on Github, allowing users to use the engine with very few programming restrictions.

Please note that this does not mean that CryEngine has gone open source, far from it, but this move does allow developers to more freely use CryEngine and with much fewer restrictions. Users will need to abide by Crytek's EULA, which states that content cannot be sexually explicit, vulgar or objectionable within a "reasonable person's view" and prohibits the use of the engine for simulation, scientific and architectural purposes.

It is likely that Crytek is going to use a separate licensing structure for the engine for scientific and architectural applications in the future. Crytek's full CryEngine EULA can be found here.
