Today Bandai Namco have released a new selection of screenshots of the new Dark Souls game, showcasing a new Boss called Ludex Gundyr, a Knight type enemy wielding a halberd and a selection of other enemy types and settings.

The game will require 8GB of RAM to play and a 64-bit OS, which is a significant leap from previous games in the franchise. On the GPU side things are a little bit more reasonable, requiring a HD 6870 or a GTX 465 as it’s minimum, “you died” specs and a GTX 750 or an HD 7850 in the games recommended “You Died, But That’s a Pretty Nice PC You’ve Got There” spec.

The game will require a quad core/thread CPU, which is something that is common for a modern title.

The “You Died” spec:

The game looks like it has also received a nice upgrade in graphical fidelity when compared to previous Dark Souls games, which is something that the series sorely needed since it is now on current generation consoles exclusively.

Dark Souls has always been a hard and punishing game, going by the “if at first you don’t succeed, DIE, DIE and DIE again” motto, so this game is certainly not for the faint of heart.
