Dawn of War III Announcement Trailer & Screenshots

Dawn of War III has been announced bringing the Space Marines, Eldar and Orks to war once again with a campaign that will include each of the three factions.  Let's have a look at the new Screenshots, trailer and all the new info available on this new RTS.

The game will be a move to larger battles with more units which include your own collectable Elite Squads that will level up and gain bonus abilities as you progress through the campaign. The game will feature large scale battles with a higher unit count that what you would see in older Dawn of War games.

The campaign will be based around the new world of Acheron, where the Space Marine, Ork and Eldar forces are battling over a newly found weapon that was found on the planet.

The campaign will feature all three of the games factions, allowing players to learn how to play as and battle against each faction over alternating mission as each of the factions fight over control of Acheron.

The Multiplayer component of the game will include both Co-operative and Competitive modes, giving RTS lovers plenty of options when it comes to getting some multiplayer fun.

Dawn of War III will feature traditional Dawn of War I style base building, allowing you to build units and structures across the map. Resources are gathered by building generators and capturing gaining capture requisition points.

The game will also feature a new cover system where units can take cover beside structures on the map to help protect themselves from ranged attacks, though this can be mitigated by sending in your melee units. The new cover system should allow both melee and ranged units to be necessary in order to conquer your enemies effectively.

Yeah, C&C4 is to this day is the worst game I ever paid money for.

I did enjoy Red Alert 3, but you are right. I would say the games went downhill after Generals.Quote

Yep I'd agree 4 was horrible..
RA3 was fun too, although I enjoyed TW3 more. After 4, they tried redeeming themselves with Generals, then it switched to F2P, then disappeared. Very big missed opportunity IMO, it's been a long time since a good CC came out. I'd wager there's a big market for itQuote
