Dawn of War III was recently announced, bringing the Space Marines, Eldar and Orks to war once again with a campaign that will include each of the three factions.  Let's have a look at the game's newest gameplay footage.

The game will be a move to larger battles with more units which include your own collectable Elite Squads that will level up and gain bonus abilities as you progress through the campaign. The game will feature large scale battles with a higher unit count that what you would see in older Dawn of War games.

The campaign will be based on the new world of Acheron, where the Space Marine, Ork and Eldar forces are battling over a newly found weapon that was found on the planet.

These days there are relatively few RTS games on the market to fight for your money, but Dawn of War III at least promises to deliver an experience that is very different to other RTS games on the market today.

Oh dear this is going to be like Company of Heroes 2 isn't it?

A basic game for 35 euros at launch then 2-3 expansions -in the form of DLCs- that will also cost 25 euros each...

I thought Dawn of War 1 and 2 were actually good value for money. Especially if you got one of the bundle editions. That said they were basically totall different games. So it will be interesting to see how 3 will play.Quote

I don't rememebr what happened back then, but judging from company of heroes 2, the game felt kinda rushed and incomplete things that got fixed with the two expansions. CoH1 Didn't have those issues, I assume neither DoW had those issues either.Quote
