DOOM release date and Campaign Trailer

 

Bethesda have announced DOOM’s release date and released a new Campaign Trailer for the title, showing off great visuals, a smooth framerate and a tonne of gore, everything a modern DOOM game needs. 

id software are building this game from the ground up to be everything that they believe that a modern DOOM game should be, delivering a game that both looks great, runs at a high framerate and most importantly looks very fun to play. Hopefully this game will be everything it promises to be when t released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 13th, but we will be testing the PC version on day 1 so that we can give you all an idea of what performance to expect from the title. 

 

       Get a closer look at the adrenaline-pumping, single-player campaign in the latest trailer for DOOM – the all-new FPS from id Software arriving worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on Friday, May 13th. As the iconic DOOM Marine, you wake to learn that the Union Aerospace Corporation’s facility on Mars has been decimated and overrun by hordes of demons. Humanity’s survival rests in your hands – and your hands alone. Fight Like Hell.

In DOOM’s campaign, there is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell’s raging demon hordes. Combine your arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, upgrades, movement and an advanced melee system to knock down, slash, stomp, crush, and blow apart demons in creative and violent ways.

 

 

 

 

Below are the minimum and recommended requirements for DOOM’s closed alpha, which took place late last year. It required 8GB of RAM and 3GB of VRAM at 1080p. On the CPU side the devs recommend either an Intel i5 CPU at 3.3GHz or above or on the AMD side a FX 8350 8-core CPU, with the Intel CPU being bumped up to an i7 for the recommended requirements. 

For 1080p the developers recommend either a R9 280 or a GTX 780 GPU, which are GPUs that have a great difference in relative GPU power in most situations. It is assumes that these two GPUs have been chosen due to their built-in VRAM, rather than their prerformance. Remember that this is the required specifications for an early Alpha build. 

 

     The Closed Alpha is designed to test a variety of PC configurations. The following system specs for the PC are subject to change and do not reflect the minimum or recommended system specs of the final product.
