DOOM's Open Beta is currently capped at 60FPS, but Bethesda has confirmed that the game will feature no framerate lock at launch.

The developers of the game have stated that the game is locked at 60FPS for beta purposes only, with the code team working hard to make sure that the game will work well at high framerates at launch.

Right now a lot of hardcore DOOM fans have been complaining about the 60FPS limitation in the Beta version of the game, with the final version supporting framerates that are as high as your monitor can output.

DOOM will release on PC on May 13th.

Excellent news!!! I have been getting a little disheartened lately with all the new games I like coming out capped at 60 FPS. Was really disappointed when I heard Doom would be as well. Very glad to find out it won't be. My believed BenQ will make good use of it.Quote
