EA details Star Wars Battlefront's New "Blast" mode

EA has just announced a new game mode for Star Wars Battlefront called "Blast" mode, which will pit two teams of 10 players against each other in a set of more confined/ close quarter maps.

Dice has said that the maps used in each game mode will be different, differing not only in size but also graphically and physically. For example the "blast" mode will be set in a different time of day than the "Walker Assault" version and the other changes in the maps visuals and spaces will make each maps both look and feel different. DICE say that these tweaks will help each map feel unique and fun to play.

Blast mode will run for 10 minutes, with each team competing to reach 100 kills, or the highest number of kills when the timer runs out. This mode will feature no vehicles and will focus on only infantry based combat.

Star Wars Battlefront will release on November 17th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Sarcasm aside..
They had it spot on with the Alpha... they built up a good bank of goodwill, this will remove a lot of it if it's done like close quarters was. Especially with the lack of space battles and whatnot...Quote
