EK unveils new NVIDIA GTX 1080 water blocks

EK has officially unveiled their new NVIDIA GTX 1080 water blocks, which will be available in 4 different colour options and with 5 backplate options.

All variants of this water block will deliver the same performance, with users being able to choose between all copper or nickel plated water blocks and a choice between Black Acetal and clear Acrylic tops. Backplates will be available in Red, Blue, Gold, Black, and Nickel colour options, though personally I would have liked to see a Nvidia Green option.

This GPU water block is very similar to EK's existing designs, using EK's innovative split-flow cooling design, which allows this water block to provide great cooling performance while decreasing flow restriction within the block itself. This design allows this water block to be used with even weak low wattage pump designs.

EK will be shipping this water block from Friday the 27th of May, the same day that the GTX 1080 becomes available to purchase. Below is a table containing the MSRP of the water block itself and its backplate designs.

The only thing I dislike about the 980 version is the plexi is only half covering the block.
