The Elder Scrolls Online Slays Monthly Subscriptions
The Elder Scrolls Online Slayed the beast that is monthly subscriptions, meaning that players will only need to buy the game in order to play.
While this does not mean that the game is "free-to-play" it does mean that the game can be played with only a single one off purchase. There will be a ESO Plus membership, which will offer players additional in game gold and bonuses to to player progression and access to DLC for the duration of the membership. DLC can also be purchased with the game's In-Game currency crowns.

Players on the Xbox and Playstation will continue to need a PS Plus or an XBOX Live Subscription to play, but the monthly subscription will no longer be required.
