One problem with multiplayer games in VR is the sheer lack of players. VR is expensive and both Oculus and HTC are having trouble shipping their headsets to the huge number of gamers who want to join the VR craze. This makes Multiplayer gaming in VR difficult, especially for VR exclusive games like Eve Valkyrie, but the developers behind the game have just announced something that may help fix this issue.

Eve Valkyrie will have cross Platforms VR Multiplayer, allowing players on the HTC Vive and PlatStation VR to play together, unifying the games player base and making it much easier for players to find full multiplayer games when the game releases for PSVR and the HTC Vive later this year.

Right now Eve Valkyrie is exclusive to the Oculus Rift, making it difficult for some players to find games, especially with so few Oculus units shipping in the headsets launch window.

The developers of the game have also recently announced new game modes, an increase in ship + upgrade variety alongside a whole new ship class, all of which are expected to be added to the game when the HTC Vive and PlayStation VR versions of the game release.
