EVGA will release their Precision X OC Utility for the GTX 1080 on the 27th

 

EVGA has announced that they will be making at least 5 different custom GTX 1080 GPUs and will release their new Precision X OC Utility for the GTX 1080 on May 27th. 

Right now EVGA's own Precision X page states that EVGA will be making a Founders Edition GTX 1080, a Superclocked, FTW, Classified, Hybrid and Hydro Copper versions of the GPU. At this time, we do not know if they will use the same cooler design as their last generation counterparts or entirely new heatsink designs. 

With GPU Boost 3.0 overclocking has changed, allowing GTX 1080/Pascal GPU users to set different clocks at different voltage levels, giving overclockers more control over their GPUs.

EVGA's Precision X OC tool also contains an OC Scanner mode, which has been shown to auto overclock and stress test your GPU, which should allow novice overclockers to gain decently high overclocks with very little effort.
