Fallout 4 Beta Patch improves stability and performance

One of the most irritating bugs that I have found in Fallout 4 has been when I have found myself locked into a terminal, forcing me to load a previous save, which could be from a fairly long time ago given the games infrequent auto saves.

Today a new Beta Patch for Fallout 4 has been released fixing this issue and improving the games general stability and delivering performance improvements on specific areas of the game.

The update is 210MB in size and is currently available on Steam.

Fallout 4 Beta Patch improves stability and performance

Here is the changelog for this brand new PC beta update.

  • General memory and stability improvements
  • Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant
  • Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals

To get the beta, you need to do the following:

1. Log into Steam
2. Right Click on Fallout 4 in your Library
3. Select Settings
4. Select Betas
5. A drop down menu will appear. Select Beta Update
6. Select OK.
7. Wait a few minutes and Fallout 4 should update.
8. When done, Fallout 4 should appear as Fallout 4 [beta] in your Library

If you decide you don’t want to run the Beta anymore, redo steps 1 – 4. At the drop down, select NONE – Opt out of all beta programs.

Wonder if this fixes bugs/performance with the new Crimson Driver. Since many people on the previous beta reported many issues.Quote

I fixed that bug with a mod from the nexus ..its not realy a mod its just 2 dill files from the older driver but you still get crimson perfomance.

Apparently it does, but I have yet to try it. I rolled back to CCC.

The beta on the other hand is awesome. Really smoothed out my FPS Quote

I'd stay on Crimson and then either don't get the beta patches or get the newest one. Loving Crimson so far, getting performances increases across the board(noticeable increases too). Just bad timing with FO and AMD imo, both releasing rather big updates which as we saw causes some small bugs. Neither is to blame really. According to you guys it's fixed so wasn't that longQuote
