A Fallout 4 Fan has successfully been given a Pre-order of the game from Bethesda after sending the developers sending over 2000 Bottle Caps, which is the games "post-war" currency.

Earlier this month, GatorMacheteJR posted several pictures on Reddit, twitter and other forms of social media, explaining how he had saved every bottle cap he could get his hands on over the period of seven-plus years, in anticipation of Fallout 4.

Over this time he had managed to save over 2000 bottle caps, which he sent to Bethesda along with a note explaining how the bottle caps, which are used as a form of currency in the Fallout games, were intended as payment for a pre-order of Fallout 4.

Bethesda were quick to say that they will not be offering Pre-orders to any other copycat, saying that "[F]or being first, he deserves the recognition."

You can join the discussion on Fallout 4 being Pre-ordered with over 2000 Bottle caps on the OC3D Forums.
