Far Cry Primal PC System Requirements

Far Cry Primal will be released on PC on March 1st, one week later than the Xbox One and PS4 release. This delay is not as large as what we are used too with Ubisoft games, with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Syndicate being released one month later on PC.

Far Cry Primal is the newest title in the Far Cry series, taking place back in the stone age where humans are not the top of the food chain. Expect a lot more of the animal interaction that you loved in Far Cry 3 and 4, but do not expect to be climbing any radio towers in a world before the wheel exists.

Now the PC requirements for the game have been revealed, requiring a minimum of a Quad core, or quad thread CPU, 4GB of RAM and a GTX 460 or HD 5770 with 1GB of RAM.

Welcome to the Stone Age, a time of extreme danger and limitless adventure, when giant mammoths and sabretooth tigers ruled the Earth, and humanity is at the bottom of the food chain. As the last survivor of your hunting group, you will learn to craft a deadly arsenal, fend off fierce predators, and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land of Oros and become the Apex Predator.

Looking at the minimum and recommended specifications of the game it looks like this game will favor those that use AMD GPUs, as the GTX 460 is usually more powerful than a HD 5770 and a GTX 780 is almost always more powerful than a R9 280X.

MINIMUM:

    • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
    • Processor: Intel Core i3-550 | AMD Phenom II X4 955 or equivalent
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (1GB VRAM) | AMD Radeon HD 5770 (1GB VRAM) or equivalent
    • Storage: 20 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: Windows-compatible keyboard, mouse, optional controller

RECOMMENDED:

    • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K | AMD FX-8350 or equivalent
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 | AMD Radeon R9 280X or equivalent
    • Storage: 20 GB available space

    • Additional Notes: This product supports 64-bit operating systems only. Laptop versions of these cards may work, but are not officially supported. For the most up-to-date requirement listings, please visit the FAQ on our support website atsupport.ubi.com.

Looking at the gameplay trailers and breakthroughs above and below you can see that this game is far from an accurate depiction of the stone age, with you using a large bird as an effective scout or even as a bomber, turning your feathered friend into what is effectively into a stone age Predator drone.

You play as the first beast Master, a man who can tame beasts like Dire Wolves, Owls, Mammoths, Jaguars, Sabertooths and even Bears. Each animal has it's own unique set of abilities and skills, but you can call on a different animal companion while in the wilds to adapt to your specific situation.

Far Cry Primal will be releasing on February 23rd on PS4 and Xbox One and will be available on PC on March 1st.

We need more campaign co-op games on the PC, Last game I played that was actually surprisingly fun in co-op was Alien Colonial Marines, Poo on your own but hella fun with a mate as it's literally the whole campaign but with up to 3 more people.Quote

Co-op is dieing. Singleplayer is slowly dieing as well. It's a real shame too. Most of the games i enjoy are all singleplayer. Like Witcher 3 for example, have over 110 hours and on my third playthrough and loving it more and more each time. It's up there as one of my favorite games of all time and all the other games up there with it are singleplayer. Multiplayer just gets too annoying sometimes... constantly issues with any game like spawn killing, cheating, terrible netcode, the diehard fanboys who rage at you, teamkillers, etc. Much easier to play alone
Heck even Halo is starting to get these issues as well and now to top if off they dropped Co-op for all future Halo's which really ****** me off personally as well as a lot of gamers because it's one of the defining features of the game. 343 kinda ruined the franchise. Other games are following suit too:/Quote
