Far Cry Primal to receive a 4K Texture pack and Survivor mode

On April 12th Far Cry Primal will receive a Free 4K Texture pack and all platforms will gain Survivor mode and permadeath options, both of which can be added to any existing difficulty level.

These two changes will allow gamers to experience Far Cry Primal in a much more user customized game, allowing gamers to add the extra stakes and difficulty added by Permadeath and survivor modes while at the same time allowing these options to be used at lower standard difficulties to allow gamers to choose exactly how challenging they want the game to be.

The Stone Age is about to get even more brutal. Far Cry Primal will receive a FREE “Survivor Mode” update on April 12 for consoles and PC, which will make Oros and its inhabitants harsher and more dangerous than ever. You’ll also have the option of enabling permadeath, if you’re willing to risk extinction.

In the game's survivor mode, your beasts will be less powerful and harder to tame, Takkar will have a stamina gauge that will make him less powerful unless he regularly sleeps and Takker will be much more susceptible to cold weather.

Right now we do not know much about Far Cry Primal's upcoming 4K texture pack, with Ubisoft not stating any VRAM requirements.

Don't think it says, but if it's to include 4k textures for everything then it should work at any res.Quote
