Final Fantasy Type-0 is coming to PC

FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD will have a locked framerate on PC

FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD will have a locked framerate on PC, and the developer not disclosing whether or not it is locked to 60 or 30 FPS at this time.

With the recent Next gen release of the title being locked to 30FPS, despite the fact that a current generation console should be able to run a PSP game at 60FPS, it is highly unlikely that the PC version will be locked to a higher framerate.

Below is a quote from the Final Fantasy Twitter page, responding to DSO Gaming's questions on this issue.

FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD will have a locked framerate on PC

Final Fantasy has always had a rocky road on PC, with Final Fantasy XIII being locked to 720p for a long period of time before an eventual patch.

Final Fantasy Type-O will be releasing on PC on August 18th and is currently available on Steam for pre-order.

It doesn't matter if it's 30 or 60 someone will find a way to unlock itQuote

Thing is, if it's locked, it's locked for a reason. So it doesn't really matter if they do.Quote

Don't see why people fuss over locked framerate. If it was intended and designed that way then it plays best that way. Remember N4S Rivals? It was locked. If you unlocked it it looked out of place. It's not really a big deal and with FreeSync/GSync it should be less of an issue since it's already going to look smooth.Quote

Because in this day and age it's bullcrap that's why. 30fps is unacceptable. Locking it is either someone being lazy because they tied something to the framerate, or being lazy because they can't be bothered to optimise properly.Quote
