Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is coming to PC

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Will release on May 5th

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex's open beta will arrive on the Windows 10 store on May 5th, bringing Forza to a whole new audience with full DirectX 12 support and a detailed graphical options menu.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will be Windows 10 Exclusive, bringing the ForzaTech engine to PC for the first time. The game will include 63 cars at launch and 20 different track configurations across 6 total locations.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex delivers a curated single-player tour of Forza Motorsport’s best content, all running on DirectX 12 at resolutions up to 4K. Along with a new set of Xbox Live achievements to earn, Apex players will find new mechanics to explore, including an all-new Race Points system that dares you to turn off the assists, develop your skills, and take on greater challenges.

In Apex, players will race a diverse lineup of 63 beautifully-detailed Forzavista cars, each with working headlights, doors, and cockpits, intricately modeled interiors and exteriors, and full damage. Players can push those cars to their limits on 20 exciting track configurations across six locations, including night and wet-weather variants.

The Graphical options menu for the PC version of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex was revealed recently, showcasing a large number of graphical options which even include full MSAA options.

This graphical options menu is much more advanced that what we have seen recently in Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, suggesting that we can expect a much better PC version of the game.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Graphics Options Revealed

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will give PC gamers a taste of the Forza Motorsport world, giving players 63 cars with working damage and cockpits and a total of 6 tracks with 20 different layouts at launch. There will also be a limited version of Forza's Career mode, which includes a 12-event "Showcase Tour".

Below is a trailer for the game that is rendered at a resolution of 4K, but sadly the game will not support online play, but it will have online leaderboards and rankings.

One major blow to you racing fans out there will be that the game will not support steering wheels at launch, meaning that PC gamers will have to use controllers or keyboards to play and leaving those who use more accurate setups in the dark.

Below are the confirmed cars and tracks that will be available in the game.

Confirmed Cars

  • 2014 Audi #2 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro
  • 2017 Ford GT
  • 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455

Confirmed Tracks

  • Brands Hatch
  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
  • Rio de Janeiro
  • Sebring International Raceway
