Pictures of Gainward's upcoming custom GTX 1080 has been shown online, revealing a redesigned cooler and a new design aesthetic.

Above you can see the design of the GTX 980Ti Pheonix from Gainward, a GPU which has a triple fan cooler and red colouring that looked more salmon pink when viewed in person. Below we can see the new custom design for Nvidia's GTX 1080 showcasing a Rad and black cooler with gold highlights that uses a dual fan design with a new fan blade profile.

We can see in this picture that this GPU is taller than the standard founders edition model from Nvidia, which allows this cooler to accommodate larger fans, which should allow this GPU to maintain high levels of airflow at lower RPMs.

Gainward's custom GTX 1080 Pheonix is expected to be showcased at Computex, which starts next month.

So they're just using the same cooler on both the Palit GPU's and the Gainward GPU's now huh? I suppose it saves a bit of money.Quote

The cooler is exactly the same as the 980ti acx 2.0 and it looks like the 1080 on the side of the card has been photo shopped.Quote
